Your Support Makes it Possible
Since 1962, Pinecrest has been a place of rest, renewal, and exploration – a place where God changes lives. It still is. None of this would be possible, without the generous support of churches, civic groups and individuals like you. It is through your donations of money, time and prayer that we are able to enrich the lives of others.
One donor enabled us to develop this website. Another bought tree climbing equipment. Still another renovated the entire lodge/dining hall. Some have provided funds for continuing education, the chapel, and other buildings. Some funds support the general fund. Pinecrest depends on your monetary support.
We hope you’ll feel called to help as well.
Donate Now

Bonfire Club
You’ll be an inaugural member of the BONFIRE CLUB. Monthly, recurring gifts to Pinecrest make our income more consistent and are new to our budgeting process. These gifts contribute to the annual fund, and we can tell you that even $10-20 per month makes a impact on our ability to engage in ministry. We’re working toward 60 of these donors before our 60th year in 2022. Scroll down for more info on Monthly Giving.
Annual Fund
The ANNUAL FUND is a major contributor to the ministry of hospitality to our campers, outdoor education students, and retreat guests. While we hold fundraising drives and events throughout the year, we count on regular giving to help with operating expenses like utilities, maintenance, salaries, and program equipment.
Projects
The Dark Sky project is just one of many SPECIAL PROJECTS we have on the burner. Click here to learn more about our Dark Sky Preservation project.
We also fund other various building and program undertakings that keep Pinecrest up to date and beautiful. We’ve worked with Scouts, families, ministry groups, youth, and mission groups as well as individuals to design and carry out projects. These tasks are outside of the regular operating budget.
Scholarships
Most years, we raise over $30,000 for SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS which are highly requested in our current economic climate. While we believe that keeping our summer camp fees low is important, camp is still out of reach for some. We wish you could hear the gratitude that comes from those families. Your gift transforms kids’ lives.
Legacy Gift
Consider a LEGACY GIFT. We often tell campers about the legacy of people who walked Pinecrest land – Chickasaw Native Americans, troops during the Civil War, farmers. Talk with your financial planner to determine if you can make a sizeable gift that may have a positive impact on your estate taxes. Let us know with this letter of intent. Be part of Pinecrest’s lasting legacy.

Volunteer Opportunities
Scout Projects
Our current project focuses on the miles of scenic trails that are at the core of our education program. The trail marking initiative helps ensure easy navigation for guests. Scouts are encouraged to install confidence markers on selected trails. Pick one or two, complete your project, and do a world of good!
Counselors in Training
Pinecrest is looking for 16-18 year old camp counselor volunteers. Counselors in Training positions give teens the opportunity to enrich, mentor and lead campers while gaining important life skills themselves. Access our application on our Summer Camp page.
Trails and Events
Join us for Trail Maintenance Days or special events like Bats and Bonfires, Firefly Drive-In, and others. We request that volunteers be age 16 and up or accompanied by their adult. Get hours for your Tennessee Promise Scholarships, Tennessee Naturalist Program, or just to give back. Please view upcoming opportunities and register through Volunteer Odyssey by clicking below.
